Why the Targus iPad Stylus is the iPad Stylus of My Dreams and Likely the Best on the Market
I've searched high and low for the perfect iPad stylus and I've found it in the Targus iPad stylus.
When the iPad was first released I was shocked when I discovered that it didn't come with a stylus in the box. I've grown used to dealing with tablets in the past and as far as I can remember, most tablets came bundled with styluses - not the iPad. Being that Apple shipped the iPad stylus-less I took it upon myself to find an iPad stylus that would fit my needs as a freelance graphic designer - and as someone that hates having a fingerprint filled iPad screen.
When I began looking for an iPad stylus, I found that there weren't many iPad styluses on the market - and even worse; the iPad has a capacitive screen [which responds to finger presses] instead of the old-school resistive tablets that I've grown used to [which operate based on screen pressure]. Unfortunately, having a capacitive touchscreen on the iPad meant that the iPad would never have a finepoint iPad stylus, but I was still determined to find the perfect iPad stylus.
Before finding the Targus iPad stylus, I bought three other iPad styluses and none of them fit the bill. I original bought a Pogo Sketch stylus which was supposedly the best iPad stylus around, but after the stylus tip wore down on it in just a few weeks, I was left with a worthless aluminum pencil-like device. The other two iPad styluses that I bought were cheap eBay styluses with great reviews but needless to say, neither one of them were worth the money spent on them.
I just about gave up on finding a great iPad stylus until I stopped by a local Best Buy store and noticed that they offered an iPad stylus - that wasn't the Pogo Sketch. I never heard of Targus before, but for $20 and a 30 day return policy, I figured that there was nothing to lose in giving the Targus iPad stylus a try - and boy am I happy that I did.
The Targus iPad stylus is sleek, clips on pockets easily, and does a great job of sketching and navigating an ipad. Unlike other iPad styluses the Targus iPad stylus has a stylus tip that doesn't wear down and its rubber tip doesn't stick and scrape against the iPad's screen like the cheap eBay styluses that I bought. The tip of the Targus iPad stylus is very smooth and it's very sensative - making it the best iPad stylus that I've ever come across.
I'm glad that I found the Targus iPad stylus and if you're looking for an iPad stylus - or about to give up on your search - give the Targus iPad stylus a try.
